About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Energy Systems to lead and manage projects related to Substation Automation Systems (SAS), PV SCADA systems, Power Plant Controllers (PPC), and associated energy automation solutions.
The role requires strong technical understanding combined with structured project management capabilities, ensuring compliance with internal PROTASIS procedures while meeting contractual, technical, and financial objectives.
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects within scope, schedule, and budget, while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
During your day, you will:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of energy automation and control projects (SAS, SCADA, PPC, communications, integrations)
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, PMO members, and management
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/ vendors for flawless project execution
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure availability and optimal allocation of project resources
- Monitor compliance with applicable grid codes, standards, and industry regulations
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and execution plans
- Manage changes in scope, schedule, and cost using structured control techniques
- Track project performance, KPIs, and financials; identify and mitigate deviations
- Report project status and escalate issues to management when required
- Manage client relationships and stakeholder expectations (TSOs, EPCs, IPPs, DNOs)
- Perform risk management to minimize technical, commercial, and schedule risks
- Support contract administration and claims awareness
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
To be a fit, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
(Advanced degree is considered a plus) - Minimum of 3–5 years experience in energy-related projects, preferably involving automation, control, or power systems
- Proven exposure to SAS, SCADA systems, PPCs, or power plant control architectures
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies
- PMP Certification (or equivalent) will be considered a strong advantage
- Proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft Office 365
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) is a plus
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
